Veerey Ki Wedding 3rd Day Box Office Collection

Newly released Bollywood movie ‘Veerey Di Wedding’ received poor response from audience on Sunday (3rd day of release) and registered a business of Rs 0.85 crore. The Hindi film, which features Jimmi Shergil, Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead cast, was released on 2 March this year. Directed by popular filmmaker Ashu Trikha, the Hindi movie faced box office clash with Anushka Sharma starrer supernatural horror film ‘Pari’ in the opening weekend.

‘Veerey Di Wedding’ reportedly earned Rs 0.75 crore income on opening day. The film did not receive huge public response from spectators on day 1. Though the filmmakers left no stone unturned in promoting the movie on larger platforms, the Hindi movie failed impress audiences as well as critics. Most of the people gave negative feedback for the film. Critics also gave the mixed reviews for the Bollywood movie.

The Hindi movie witnessed slight growth in the theatre occupancy on 2nd day. The film’s business on second day was reported to be Rs 0.80 crore. On Saturday, the theatre occupancy was not maximum in the morning shows. In noon shows, the occupancy remained steady and unexpectedly soared in the evening shows. The romantic comedy movie released on very few screens in India and faced major impact of the box office competition against other films.

Trade analysts had predicted that the film will perform well on Sunday. But the predictions were proven false as the Hindi movie failed to gain huge response on holiday and ended up earning Rs 0.85 crore. The Bollywood film collected a total income of Rs 2.40 crore in three days. The comedy movie is expected to earn poor income in the week days. Public response for the film is also expected to decline gradually in coming days. Latest box office numbers are awaited.
